Product Manufacturing Engineer II
Location:
WELLS, Rte 9, US-ME-NORTH BERWICK-113 (~113 Wells St).
Role Type:
Onsite. U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance. DoD Secret Clearance (existing or eligible for issuance) is required.
- Own a part‑specific process family and manage the manufacturing and progression of that part family.
- Interact regularly with the shop floor and support functions to ensure manufacturability.
- Drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple steps that span the full value stream of the parts.
- Represent the organization in MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level) execution and develop standard work, procedures, and industry‑standard best practices.
- Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks to achieve superior quality performance.
- Implement process optimization and control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs/escapes and reduce overall product costs.
- Use statistical analysis tools for Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions on non‑conforming product.
- Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization through innovative solutions.
- Schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews and ensure validation of MRL gate advancements.
- Use effective scorecards and metrics to ensure progress and lead projects critical to improving manufacturing process capability and quality performance.
- Travel domestically up to 10% as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (aerospace, industrial, mechanical, manufacturing or similar) with at least 2 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing operations environment.
- OR Master’s degree in Engineering with at least 1 year of experience in an engineering or manufacturing operations environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. - Hold a current U.S. government‑issued Secret Clearance OR be eligible to obtain and maintain one.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (CORE/Six Sigma practitioner/professional certification).
- Understanding of continuous improvement concepts: DFSS, Red‑X, Lean, etc.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in complex manufacturing activities (specifically 5‑axis milling and turning).
- Proficiency with Minitab and other statistical software.
- Proficient in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics.
Salary Range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD.
