Position: R&D Laboratories - Working Student

Working Student is a long-term paid internship, that allows you to kickstart your fabulous journey in the IT and Telecom world. As our Trainee you can have experience working in such areas that correspond to full-time engineering jobs. The internship usually lasts from 6 to 24 months. We are open to flexible working hours so that you can reconcile working with us with your studies.

As a member of Laboratory Operations Team, for our Common Services and Infrastructure (COSI) unit you will be a part of a team whose objectives are to deliver in an environment where openness, trust and teamwork are encouraged.

We are looking for a Working Student to support our daily duties in Nokia Laboratories. In this job, you will be responsible for:

* new installations and troubleshooting of Linux Virtual Machines hosted on our VMware, KVM and Open Stack platforms

* installation and maintenance of physical servers and workstations

Must-Have:

* Status of student of Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or Software Technology or equivalent education

* Good English, both spoken and written

* Availability to work from the office

* Linux knowledge and troubleshooting skills in Debian or CentOS or Ubuntu (installation, network, and storage configuration, LVM, Bash and/or Python scripting)

* Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, ARP, VLAN)

Nice-to-Have:

* VMware, KVM and Open Stack knowledge and troubleshooting skills

* HW knowledge f.e. HP/Quanta servers, HPE 3

PAR storage array

* Good communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
