About This Role

In this Electrical Technician role you will provide electrical support for the design, integration, and maintenance of electrical systems on a variety of technologies, ranging from Unmanned Robotic Systems for Commercial and Military programs as well as Naval Surface Systems. These systems are experimental and cutting‑edge technological advancements that are intended to protect the warfighter in various theaters and to provide civil support to many commercial applications.

The position involves supporting harness design, modifications, installation, assembly and test. The individual must be able to design/assemble on the fly, interpret assembly documentation (work instructions, drawings, parts lists, diagrams), assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components, operate electronic and mechanical test equipment, and use small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers.

The individual may also assist engineering in basic process development or evaluation. Requires basic knowledge of procedures and technical theory in assigned product areas. The role may require travel and experimental testing.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and operate Unmanned Systems and support equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electronic and general electrical systems.
  • Assist engineers with prototype design, development and testing.
  • Support off‑site testing and demonstrations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Strong ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Willing to travel (>10%).
  • Associate’s degree or military experience a plus. Two or more years of experience with mechanical/electrical systems a must.
  • General electrical aptitude.
  • Cable/harness assembly skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work extended hours to meet program goals.
  • Ability to work in tight quarters and confined spaces.
  • Working knowledge of Military specifications a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Military hardware a plus.
  • Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database, and technical drawing packages).
  • Must be a team player and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Eligible to obtain a security clearance.
