Our customers in the defense industry are also facing an exciting technological development and have a great need for experienced Lead Engineers.

As a Lead Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative solutions in technically challenging projects with some of Sweden's leading players in the automotive and defense industries. You will be an important part of our team in the Stockholm region with locations in Stockholm or Södertälje, where you will work with colleagues and customers to drive innovative solutions that contribute to a more sustainable future.

In the role of Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating technical development activities throughout the product development process. You will be a key person in projects where you combine technical expertise with a coaching and collaborative leadership.

The assignments can be carried out both in AFRY's internal delivery organization and at our customers' sites, which gives you a varied daily life and the opportunity to develop in different environments. You will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and other technical specialists to ensure that projects are delivered with high quality and according to set goals. The role requires good communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear and actionable solutions.

We are looking for you who have a strong technical interest and thrive in a leading role where you get to inspire, support, and develop both people and technology. You are communicative, solution-oriented, and motivated to work together with others to achieve common goals.

• Several years of experience in product development within the manufacturing industry
• At least three years of experience with CATIA V5
• 4–5 years of experience from the automotive industry
• Relevant higher education or civil engineering degree in mechanical engineering, product development, or equivalent
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Swedish citizenship
