Internship Opportunity at BNP Paribas in Stockholm

Join the Nordic Securities Services team in Stockholm as a working student/intern and get hands on experience while building a solid skill set you can carry forward in your career.

The internship offers experience across a range of multi-asset services helping clients achieve their ambitions in terms of both investments and cross border distribution. Our services are closely integrated with the capabilities of the BNP Paribas Group, including financing and global markets solutions. The internship is up to full time (60%-100%) for 12 months, giving you an immersive opportunity to learn about a variety of services, clients and markets, as a complement to your studies.

Based in Stockholm, this opportunity provides an interesting blend of global reach and local focus, letting you support Nordic institutional clients and take part in the origination of securities services mandates.

What you'll do and learn:
You will support the Nordic Securities Services team in originating new mandates and managing existing business relationships. You will be exposed to a wide range of clients and projects. The role includes (but is not limited to):

• Gathering and synthesizing financial and market information in relation to client activities.
• Contributing ideas on how internal AI and data-science tools could be used to improve productivity in the sales process (i.e. quick data extracts, simple automation of routine tasks).
• Assisting the team in sales and account planning, including tracking client activities.
• Drafting presentations and memorandums for both internal and external clients.
• Attending team discussions and client meetings – you will be asked to actively participate.
• Working with the team on client projects, including procurement initiatives (RFI/RFP).
• Supporting global projects and managing sub-projects independently, based on guidance from senior colleagues.

Relevant experience and requirements:

• Interest in financial markets and a basic understanding of securities services.
• Curiosity about AI or data-science concepts and how they might support sales efficiency
• Confident verbal communication and networking skills.
• Great multitasking and time management abilities.
• Team player who shows ownership and drives challenges to closure.
• Ongoing academic degree with an excellent track record.
• Analytical & quantitative skills are advantageous.
• Proficient with MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent spoken and written English and fluency in at least one Nordic language.
