Risk Manager/Analyst
Experienced Risk Analyst Market and Liquidity Risk
SBAB's function for independent Risk Control has a central mission to ensure robust risk management in the bank. Through models, analyses, and independent controls, we follow risk development and ensure it lies within the bank's risk appetite. We produce decision-making support and reports to both internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities. The work has a direct impact on the bank's strategic decisions, capital planning, and long-term development.
We are now seeking another experienced risk analyst who wants to give the bank the best support in driving the development of the bank's analyses, regulatory interpretation, and follow-up of market, counter party, and liquidity risks.
In this role, you will work on the implementation, modeling, and approval of new risk models. You will develop the regular follow-up and reporting of liquidity, market, and counter party risk, and act proactively on any deviations or shortcomings in models, methods, and risk management processes.
You will be part of a central part of the risk department and collaborate with several teams within Risk, but also other departments such as Treasury.
The colleague we seek
The role is suitable for you who has a good understanding of how strategy and business decisions affect the bank's risk exposure and can explain it in a pedagogical way. You are expected to be accurate and able to quantify risks using large data sets from many sources. Therefore, it is important that you can approach quantitative questions in a self-driven and structured way.
We believe you have:
• independently analyzed and communicated risks in financial environments, with results that have influenced decisions or actions
• the ability to interpret and translate financial regulations into practical analyses and working methods
• very good skills in Python, SQL, or similar and solid experience in quantitative work with large data sets
• a good understanding of how financial instruments affect risk and can link this to business decisions
• a civil engineering or economics degree, and a clear interest in the financial sector, analytical work, and programming
We look forward to your application!
The selection process is ongoing throughout the summer, but because many of us are on vacation, feedback may be delayed somewhat. From August, we are back in full swing. We hope you have a really great summer!
