Risk Manager/Analyst, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Midcoast FCU is hiring a Risk Manager in Freeport.

Midcoast FCU is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative, and operationally focused Risk Manager to support the execution of our enterprise risk, compliance, and fraud programs. This role partners closely with the Vice President of Risk Management and leaders across the organization to translate strategy into consistent, compliant operational practices.
What You'll Do:The Risk Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of enterprise risk, compliance, BSA/AML, fraud, and vendor management functions. This role ensures regulatory requirements are met, operational processes are consistent, and risk-related activities are effectively coordinated across the credit union.
Key Areas of Responsibility:- Enterprise Risk & Compliance Program Execution
- Manage the execution of Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance programs, including risk assessments, monitoring activities, issue tracking, and reporting. Review and analyze outputs from Risk Specialists and elevate emerging risks, trends, and concerns. - BSA/CFT, Fraud, & Vendor Management Coordination
- Oversee daily monitoring, investigations, and case management activities related to BSA/CFT, fraud, and vendor management. Ensure work is completed accurately, timely, and in alignment with regulatory standards, while serving as a key escalation point for complex matters. - Audit & Examination Support
- Coordinate internal, external, and regulatory audit and exam activities. Track findings, support remediation efforts, and ensure documentation and responses are complete, accurate, and audit-ready. - Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and develop Risk Specialists by assigning work, monitoring workload, and providing coaching, feedback, and performance management. Support ongoing training and ensure team knowledge remains current with regulatory and procedural changes. - Training & Cross-Functional Support
- Support employee training efforts related to compliance, fraud, and risk management. Serve as a resource for departments and assist with maintaining procedures, workflows, and documentation to promote consistency and efficiency.
Success is reflected in accurate and timely execution of risk and compliance activities, well-prepared audit and examination outcomes, strong team performance, and effective collaboration across departments to manage risk and maintain compliance.
What You Bring:- 3-5 years of relevant experience in risk, compliance, fraud, or related functions.
- Two-year college degree or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively, work cross-functionally, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
This is a hybrid position requiring some in-office presence and the ability to report to a designated branch location as needed.
Compensation commensurate with experience.
