Location: Houlton
TOWN MANAGER
The Town of Houlton, Maine is searching for qualified candidates for the position of Town Manager. Located in Aroostook County, Houlton is a full-service community and regional commercial center with a population of about 6,000 and a Town Council/Manager form of government. Houlton has a current municipal budget of approximately $16,200,000 and 60 municipal employees.
Responsibilities- Strong budget and financial management skills
- Personnel management and labor relations experience
- Knowledge of grant preparation and administration
- Demonstrated experience in economic development issues
- Experience with comprehensive planning (desirable)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability
- Municipal management experience preferred; candidates with comparable work experience encouraged to apply
