Reserve Officer – Ogunquit Police Department

As a Reserve Officer with the Ogunquit Police Department, you’ll grow your skills while contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for all. This role is Variable Hour, Part-time, Year-round and offers seasonal opportunities. Tasks include enforcing the laws of the state of Maine and the ordinances of the Town of Ogunquit, responding to general assistance and emergency calls, patrolling Ogunquit Beach, Perkins Cove, and downtown Ogunquit, assisting full-time law enforcement personnel, issuing citations, traffic enforcement, investigating motor vehicle crashes, taking police reports, engaging in criminal investigations, making arrests, and serving as a positive role model in the community.

The Ogunquit Police Department also boasts a proud history of helping new candidates reach their full potential and achieve their law enforcement life goals. Successful candidates for the position will be able to get along with others professionally while performing all duties required for the position.
Starting Pay: $24.00 per hour.
Requirements- Minimum Age: 21 y/o, or 20 y/o with at least 60 credits from an accredited college by June 01, 2026.

Applicants should have no adult criminal history and only minor motor vehicle history. Must be willing to work day, evening, and night shifts as well as weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will be able to get along with others in a professional manner while performing all duties required for the position.
