EMT​/AEMT​/Paramedic

Shapleigh Rescue is a community-focused EMS agency serving the Town of Shapleigh, Maine. We provide high-quality prehospital care in partnership with local fire and law enforcement agencies, with a strong emphasis on professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

We are currently seeking motivated Advanced EMTs and Paramedics who are passionate about patient care and want to be part of a progressive, supportive department.

The EMS provider responds to emergency and non-emergency calls, provides prehospital patient assessment and treatment within Maine EMS scope of practice, and works collaboratively with fire and mutual aid partners to deliver efficient, compassionate care.

• Respond to 911 calls and medical emergencies
• Perform patient assessment and provide appropriate treatment
• Safely operate EMS vehicles
• Complete accurate and timely electronic patient care reports
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and station readiness
• Participate in training, quality improvement, and department initiatives

• Current Maine EMS license (EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic)
• Current NREMT certification (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
• Current BLS (required)
• ACLS and PALS (required for Paramedic)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Experience in 911 EMS response
• Fire/EMS background
• Commitment to training and professional development

• EMT: $20.00-$22.00/hr
• AEMT: $22.00-$24.00/hr
