Patient Service Representative (PSR)
Maine Health Surgical Care - Norway
Location: 193 Main Street, Norway, ME 04268
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Status: Full-time | Five 8-hour shifts | Consistent schedule
On-site position (no remote flexibility)
Maine Health Surgical Care - Norway is seeking a personable, motivated Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our team. The PSR serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and plays an essential role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient practice environment. This role supports both patient satisfaction and clinical workflow by ensuring appointments, communications, and administrative processes run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and route incoming telephone calls
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Collect co-payments and assist with check-out procedures
- Process referrals, authorizations, and medical records requests as needed
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff
- Perform general administrative and office support duties
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Certifications:

Previous office experience with medical office experience preferred.
