Position: Team Supervisor - Neurology - Full Time - 1st Shift
Location: Dayton

Facility: Dayton Children's - Main Campus Department: Neurology Schedule: Full time Hours: 40 Job Details: The Clinic Team Supervisor provides guidance and assistance to the neurologist, front desk schedulers, registration staff, clinical support team. The Clinic Team Supervisor has primary responsibility for staffing the neurology clinic and coordinates schedules to provide an effective and efficient workflow to provide optimal patient care in the clinics at Dayton Children's Hospital and off-site locations.

Room utilization and patient flow is the priority. The Clinic Team Supervisor reviews the workload daily and makes adjustment to schedules as needed. Physician schedules are maintained and monitored for optimization for efficiency at Dayton Children's Hospital as well as the off-site locations.

The Clinic Team Supervisor strives to exceeds and anticipate customer needs. This role supports the staff through training and workflow reorganization, including utilization of EPIC. The Clinic Team Supervisor provides ongoing training and education to the clinical support staff and technologists and serves as an Epic Super User and trainer for new department staff. The Clinic Team Supervisor is responsible for orientation skill checkoffs for new staff members and provides direct patient care within the scope of licensure as requested.

The Clinic Team Supervisor mentors and empowers staff to reach their performance goals. Has the ability to demonstrate leadership within the department and contributes to the development and maintenance of a healthy and productive work environment. This role ensures the clinic is adequately staffed and communicates operational, clinical and safety concerns to the department manager.

Required Qualifications Education
  • GED/High School Diploma
  • LPN Nursing Diploma
Experience
  • 1+ year of healthcare experience
License/Certifications
  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
  • Current BLS certification required
Skills and Competencies
  • Computer, EPIC
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of pediatric experience
  • BSN preferred
