Position OverviewThe Optometrist provides comprehensive eye care services including routine exams, diagnosis, and treatment of ocular conditions. This role also includes emergency eye care and collaboration with primary care providers as part of an integrated care team.
ScheduleMonday through Friday schedule 4 day work week flexibility available No call or weekend requirements

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments Diagnose and manage ocular conditions Provide emergency eye care when needed Prescribe corrective lenses and treatment plans Collaborate with primary care providers and care teams Maintain accurate documentation and patient records

RequirementsGraduate of an accredited school of optometry Active Optometrist license in the State of Maine Current CPR certification Experience in rural or community based care preferred Strong communication and patient care skills Commitment to quality care and community focused practice
