Position:
Speech Language Pathologist - Geriatric

Salary Range: $39.50-$44 per hour

Schedule:

Full‑time (40 hours per week), Monday‑Friday with weekend rotation

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team and provide specialized care to our geriatric patients. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will work with elderly individuals who have communication and swallowing disorders, helping them to improve their quality of life and maintain their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
  • Implement evidence‑based therapy techniques to improve communication and swallowing function
  • Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for patients
  • Educate patients and their families on strategies for improving communication and swallowing function
  • Stay up‑to‑date with advancements in the field of speech language pathology and apply new techniques to improve patient outcomes
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Experience working with geriatric patients preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and documentation requirements
