This role offers the opportunity to provide high quality eye care while working within an integrated care model serving Northern Maine communities.
Position OverviewThe Optometrist provides comprehensive eye care services including routine exams, diagnosis, and treatment of ocular conditions. This role collaborates closely with primary care providers and participates as a key member of the integrated care team.
Schedule• 4 day work week Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm No hospital call Outpatient setting
Compensation• Competitive base salary based on experience Bonus potential
Key Responsibilities• Provide comprehensive optometry services Diagnose and treat eye conditions and diseases Perform routine and preventative eye exams Collaborate with primary care and specialty providers Maintain accurate and timely documentation Educate patients on eye health and preventative care

Requirements• Graduate of an approved school of optometry Active State of Maine Optometrist license Current CPR certification Experience in rural or community oriented care preferred Strong communication and patient care skills Commitment to high quality compassionate care
