For a limited time Maine Health is offering sign-on bonuses for Medical Assistants:

0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)

1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Up to $2,500 sign on bonus for Clinical Team Assistants

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CTA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

This is a full-time, 36-hour per week position.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education:
  
  High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements:
  Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case‑by‑case basis).

  Certifications:
  
  Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Experience:
  
  Relevant experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

  This role will participate and complete an established training program approved by Maine Health with the expectation of obtaining certification and transitioning to a Medical Assistant position within one year of eligibility.
