For a limited time Maine Health is offering a sign on bonus of up to $10,000 for all eligible Behavioral Health Clinicians!

Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part-time position. Bonus amounts prorated for Part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 3 months of separation from employment.

Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required

Behavioral Health Clinician II - Obstetrics & Gynecology

Are you looking for an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing holistic care for Women's Health patients? Are you interested in integrating specialty medical care with behavioral health services? Consider a role as a Behavioral Health Clinician embedded within a specialty care practice.

This 30-hour position is based at Maine Health Obstetrics & Gynecology-Rockport on the Pen Bay Hospital campus. The practice has a well-established integrated care model and highly values its partnership with behavioral health clinicians. Team members work collaboratively to improve patient outcomes while reducing barriers to care. By providing behavioral health services within the medical setting, patients often feel more comfortable accessing support and participating in treatment.

In this role, you will provide screenings, assessments, and brief evidence-based interventions for practice patients. Services may include individual, family, and group treatment.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Providing consultation and support to medical providers

  • Connecting patients with community resources and support services

  • Participating in population health initiatives that promote the wellbeing of targeted patient groups

  • Collaborating with the care team to support integrated treatment planning

Experience or interest in treating substance use disorders is preferred.

As part of a larger integrated behavioral health team, you will benefit from extensive clinical support and collaboration. Opportunities include partnership with psychiatrists and integrated behavioral health clinicians throughout the Maine Health system, as well as access to:

Summary:
The role of Behavioral Health Clinician II, working under an independent license, involves providing comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. The key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Master’s degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field
  • License/

    Certifications:

    Licensed LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT from the respective licensing board of the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR)
  • Experience: At least two years of behavioral health experience including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician.
