Pinnacle Health and Rehab of North Berwick is looking for full-time and part-time Cook. This position will prepare and serve meals, snacks and supplements, and perform associated cleanup.

Sign on bonus is offered for both full time and part time - $1,500 for full time and $750 for part time.

Duties include but not limited to as follows:

Essential Job Functions:

• Regular, punctual attendance.

• Prepare food, following the menu outlined by the Dietary Director.

• Serve meals, snacks and dietary supplements, meeting specified mealtime deadlines.

• Replenish stock in front stockroom and walk-ins, with the assistance of the Dietary Aides.

• Maintain a clean, organized work area, following the established dietary cleaning schedule, with the assistance of the Dietary Aides.

• Properly dispose of kitchen trash as necessary, and at the end of each shift.

• Closely follow all established procedures related to equipment use, safety, sanitation, infection control, and hazardous materials such as kitchen cleaning supplies and returned portions.

• Supervise Dietary Aides and ensure their duties are completed as assigned.

• Check freezer and refrigerator temps and document each shift.

• Check and document food temps each meal.

• Check and document stock room temp each shift.

• Monitor sanitizer strength each shift.

• Report any abnormal temps or issues with sanitizer strength to the dietary manager.

• Update and print tray cards (meal tickets) as needed/requested.

• Assist in the training of dietary personnel as requested.

• Assist all departments, within the realm of food service with special events for the residents, staff and public, per the discretion of the Dietary Director.
