Physical Therapy Assistant - Long Term Care

Damariscotta and Boothbay Harbor, ME
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
Day shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with 36 hours guaranteed per week and weekend hours as needed.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to support skilled and long-term care patients in our facilities. The candidate will work with elderly residents and provide therapy interventions aimed at improving their quality of life. The position requires flexibility as it will involve floating between two facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing therapy treatment plans.
- Support residents in their rehabilitation process.
- Monitor patient progress and document outcomes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatrics.
- Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of Maine.
- Current CPR certification.
