Summary

The Occupational Therapist role organizes and conducts prescribed skilled occupational therapy programs through the application of purposeful, goal-directed activity in the treatment of persons whose function is impaired by physical illness or injury, emotional disorder, congenital or developmental disability or the aging process to achieve the optimum functioning, to prevent disability, and to maintain health. Outpatient Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats clients with both orthopedic and neurological diagnoses, ranging from overuse injuries of the UE, hand surgeries/trauma, stroke, MS and Parkinsons.

This role works closely with two CHT OTs for a team approach to care. OT also collaborates with Outpatient PT in the Rockland Health Center space. Majority of care is for adult and geriatric populations but also includes pediatrics and adolescents for orthopedic rehabilitation. Pen Bay Occupational Therapy Department is part of Pen Bay Adult Outpatient PT OT rehab which is part of Waldo and Pen Bay Rehab Services.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education:

    Graduate of an AOTA accredited Occupational Therapist program required.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as an Occupational Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
  • Experience:

    One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system or outpatient Occupational Therapy department preferred.

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.

The pay range for this position is $77,147.20 to $ per year.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
