For a limited time Maine Health is offering sign on bonuses for Certified Nursing Assistants:
0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)
1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current Maine Health member employees are ineligible; former Maine Health Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
This position focuses on hospice care.
Maine Health offers compassionate home health and hospice services in southern and mid coast Maine. We provide expert care for people living with a chronic health condition or recovering at home from surgery, childbirth, illness or injury.
The Hospice Aide role provides personal care and homemaker services based on care plan, assessments of patient’s personal care needs, ability to perform activities of daily living and supervision of care.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Must obtain 12 hours of education annually. - License/
Certifications:
State of Maine Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Valid Driver’s license with vehicle and liability insurance as specified by agency policy required. Hospice certification must be obtained within two years of employment. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. - Experience:
Two years of experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide required. - Additional Skills/Requirements

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.
The pay range for this position is $20.27 to $24.36 per hour.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
