What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Coveside Market is a boutique convenience store that is part of the historic Colony Hotel in beautiful Kennebunkport, Maine. Featuring espresso drinks, smoothies, grab and go sandwiches, soups, and salads, baked goods, retail beer, wine and liquor, as well as gift items.

The role of the Coveside Market Supervisor is to assist the store manager in leading, training, and operating the market and its team of baristas. The Supervisor is to assist with inventory management, cash drawer management, communicating with the team, coordinating with the hotel kitchen, opening/closing the market, and keeping the market clean and organized. It will be expected to be skillful in all the roles of a barista.

• Assist in training and leading staff, especially on days where the supervisor is the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in inventory management
• Assist in implementing new processes and products, but not in the creation of them.
• Handling customer complaints and issues, especially on days where the supervisor is the Manager on Duty.
• Leading by example, displaying excellent customer service and teamwork.
• Making sure the cash drawer is always sufficiently stocked.
• Assist in communicating to hotel management.
• Assist in and handle alone, projects handed down by the manager. These could relate to inventory cleaning, organizing, etc.
• Communicating effectively with the manager in regard to staff, shop needs, anything that may have happened on days supervisor is MOD and general information regarding market operations.
