We are seeking a dependable, customer service focused Banquet Houseperson to join our team at Harraseeket Inn & event House. This is a Full Time position located in Freeport, Maine. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding our high standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service.

• Set up and break down banquet rooms according to event specifications and floor plans
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, staging, and audiovisual equipment as needed
• Assist banquet staff with event preparation and service support
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet spaces, storage areas, and equipment
• Clear tables and remove trash during and after events
• Ensure banquet areas are properly stocked with supplies and equipment
• Respond promptly to guest requests and provide exceptional customer service
• Transport tables, chairs, and other equipment safely throughout the property
• Follow proper safety and sanitation guidelines
• Help guests with any special requests/allergy information
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

• Previous hospitality or banquet experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of banquet equipment and room setups preferred
• Possess good communication and organizational skills
• High school education or equivalent experience
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly/Pushing or moving up to 100 lbs. with equipment assistance
• Must be able to work independently
• Requires reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
• Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work onsite at the location
• Hours required:

• Second language is a plus, preferably Spanish or French
