Just 20 minutes north of Portland, our 21-room boutique hotel provides an intimate, tranquil escape — where serene rooms, free of TVs and phones, invite guests to slow down and savor coastal living.

From weddings to weekend getaways, the Inn is a cherished retreat, blending classic New England charm with warm, personalized service.

Position Summary We are seeking part-time Front of the House Restaurant Help to join our seasonal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant from serving, bartending, hosting, and overall support. Candidates should be aware specific responsibilities could change daily, depending on operations.

These are full-time/part-time seasonal roles starting early mid-May to early October (exact dates may vary). The candidate will need to have reliable transportation to and from Chebeague Island Inn or find housing on the Island.

Key Responsibilities Deliver warm, genuine hospitality to all guests, creating a welcoming and memorable island experience

Flex between front-of-house roles as needed, including serving, bartending, hosting, and general support

Greet and seat guests, manage reservations and waitlists, and maintain a smooth and thoughtful flow of service

Take food and beverage orders with care and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and pacing

Prepare and serve beverages in accordance with Inn standards, emphasizing quality and consistency

Run food, clear and reset tables, and support team members to ensure seamless service throughout each shift

Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, bar, and service stations

Communicate clearly and effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to support a cohesive guest experience

Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly with professionalism and care Uphold all health, safety, and alcohol service standards

Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment and adapt to the dynamic needs of a seasonal innQualifications

Previous hospitality experience preferred (serving, bartending, hosting, or support roles)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Positive attitude with a team-first mindset

Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest experience

Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor

Willingness to learn and take on multiple responsibilities

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season
