We are seeking a friendly, customer service focused Host to join our team at Harraseeket Inn & event House. This is a Part Time position located in Freeport, Maine. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding our h igh standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service.

We are seeking a friendly, customer service focused Host to join our team at Harraseeket Inn & event House. This is a Part Time position located in Freeport, Maine. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding our h igh standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service.

The position involves hosting, taking phone orders, taking customer orders in house, keeping orders organized and working efficiently in a busy environment. Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner.

• Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
• Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
• Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table
• Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
• Ensure all areas of the front of house areas are clean and properly sanitized
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment while on your feet for 4-8 hours
• You must have excellent organizational skills and show initiative with ability to work well in a team environment
• Possess good communication and organizational skills
• High school education or equivalent experience
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. limited/Pushing up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work independently
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• Hours required: 20-30 hour shift Morning (AM);
  Afternoon (PM);
  Evening;
  Must be flexible;
  Weekends/ Holidays; scheduled days and times may vary based on need

• Previous serving experience a plus
• S uccessful demonstration of culinary and food safety knowledge
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Second language is a plus

$15.10 Hourly + tips
