Analyst - Action Monitoring, Fraud Prevention and Detection

Location: Stockholm

What you will do In this position, you will operate at the front line of Klarna's fraud defense by identifying, understanding, and stopping complex fraud and scam activity in real time. You will connect signals across customers, transactions, and attacker behavior to uncover emerging patterns, and perform deep dives and root cause analyses to understand how attacks develop and where controls break down.

You will translate insights into action by defining patterns, recommending interventions, and executing decisions such as adjusting controls or escalating risk. You will also produce clear, reusable outputs that enable consistent decision-making across teams while working in a high-intensity, global environment with follow-the-sun collaboration and on-call responsibilities. Who you are
• Experience in analytics, fraud, risk, or a related field, or a degree in a quantitative or technical discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, or computer science
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and connect disparate signals into clear conclusions
• Hands-on experience with SQL and/or Python through work, education, or personal projects
• Comfortable working with data and making decisions under uncertainty and time pressure
• Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to explain complex insights to different stakeholders
• High level of ownership, curiosity, and motivation to continuously improve fraud detection and prevention approaches Awesome to have
• Experience with in fraud, risk, cybersecurity, or trust and safety domains
• Exposure to large-scale data analysis, experimentation, or investigative work
• Interest in attacker behavior, financial crime, or adversarial systems
