Cloud Ops Engineer – Tyler Technologies
Join Tyler Technologies as a Cloud Ops Engineer. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure that supports our financial management, human resources, tax billing, and asset management solutions.

Responsibilities- Lead Dev Ops best practices – Advocate and implement best practices and design patterns across supported products and teams.
- Manage production Kubernetes environments – Own the health, stability, and performance of centralized Kubernetes clusters.
- Continuous improvement – Optimize Kubernetes environments through automation, monitoring, and best practices.
- Ensure reliability & scalability – Maintain secure, high‑availability infrastructure to support business needs.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines – Design, develop, and optimize comprehensive CI/CD pipelines with product teams.
- Enhance ERP hosting platform – Build the next generation of our ERP hosting platform using IaC, configuration management, and event‑driven infrastructure.
- Develop automation tools – Create tools to streamline service deployment and improve monitoring in a large‑scale distributed environment.
- Drive Dev Ops transformation – Architect and implement innovative software solutions supporting Dev Ops and Agile transformation initiatives.
- Provide on‑call support – Participate in periodic on‑call duties to maintain system stability and reliability.
- Collaborate across teams – Work closely with internal and external teams to develop and implement efficient solutions.
- Foster a learning culture – Expand your expertise and actively share knowledge with colleagues to support professional growth.
- Offer constructive feedback – Provide respectful and actionable feedback to leadership to improve Dev Ops strategies.
- Stay informed – Maintain strong understanding of Dev Ops principles and advocate best practices among application teams.
- Technical Experience
- Cloud & Dev Ops expertise – Minimum 1 year of experience in cloud-focused Dev Ops, Cloud Ops, or software engineering role, preferably in AWS.
- Kubernetes & EKS expertise – Minimum 1 year with production Kubernetes clusters (required); EKS experience preferred.
- CI/CD experience – Minimum 1 year in a CI/CD environment implementing and maintaining automation pipelines.
- Linux administration – Minimum 1 year managing Linux‑based systems.
- Linux & Windows configuration – Preferred 1 year experience with tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- High availability & security – Minimum 1 year designing or maintaining highly available and secure cloud systems.
- AWS workload management – Minimum 1 year migrating and managing workloads in AWS.
- Software development – Minimum 1 year developing in an object‑oriented language (C# .NET preferred).
- Scripting skills – Minimum 1 year scripting with Bash or Python.
- AWS services – Familiarity with core AWS services such as EC2, VPC, ELB, RDS, Route 53, Cloud Watch, S3.
- Infrastructure as code – Experience with Terraform (preferred), Cloud Formation, or AWS CDK.
- CI/CD platforms – Hands‑on experience with Harness, Jenkins, or Git Hub Actions.
- Monitoring & observability – Experience with real‑time monitoring tools such as Datadog.
- Microservices architecture – Strong understanding of microservice‑based system design.
- Database knowledge
– Experience with Postgre
SQL and MSSQL Server is a plus. - AWS certification – Preferred but not required.

Salary generally falls between $104,773 - $170,945 before adjustment for geographic differences. Eligible for incentive.
