Oxford Casino Hotel, located in Oxford, Maine, is part of Churchill Downs Incorporated and has grown since 2012. The casino offers 23 table games, over 900 slot machines, a sports book, 107 hotel rooms and two restaurants (Ox Pub and Oxford Express).

Job Summary

The Senior IT Technician accomplishes IT objectives by assisting in the planning, organizing, and supervision of IT Technicians and by ensuring the smooth operation of the facility’s computer systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain property-wide user-based computer applications and upgrades, including gaming, hotel, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Contact vendors for technical assistance and advanced upgrades.
  • Follow and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide end‑user desktop support to keep casino employees productive.
  • Manage SQL and backend knowledge of all casino applications.
  • Capture and deploy standardized workstation configurations and maintain PCs to current configuration levels.
  • Act as a backup to the System Administrator when required.
  • Run backups, edit system data, and generate reports.
  • Create and maintain end‑user accounts and permissions.
  • Educate users to reduce recurring issues by offering proactive solutions.
  • Train IT Technicians on various systems or processes as needed.
  • Ensure confidentiality of property data and maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of work experience in information technology or a related field.
  • Must obtain a valid gaming license, where applicable.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Frequently required to sit or stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • May be required to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • May be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Noise level is usually moderate to loud.
  • May be exposed to smoke in the gaming room.
