Your opportunity

We are looking for a driven and skilled IT & OT Security Coordinator to join our team  this role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding, improving, and maintaining a high level of security across our smelters and related OT/IT environments. By combining your technical expertise with close collaboration across operations and security, you will help identify risks and implement effective, sustainable protective measures.

You will work in a dynamic environment where you can influence how security is developed and strengthened within Boliden's smelters.

Who you will work with

You will act as a bridge between operational needs and security requirements, working closely with mine operations as well as local and central IT Security and Infrastructure teams and external partners. Together you ensure that solutions fit seamlessly into our overall OT/IT landscape while upholding standards for reliability, safety and performance. The role is based at the office with regular presence at our sites as needed.

What you will do:

• Work with a talented team of IT professionals dedicated to delivering a high level of service and support.
• Identify, assess and prioritize security risks within OT systems and networks.
• Troubleshoot OT network/security issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• Collaborate in cross-functional projects and take a key role in identifying improvement areas and implementing enhancements.
• Stay up to date with relevant security trends, threats and best practice and keep documentation current.
• Develop and implement risk-based security strategies, standards and protocols.
• Conduct or coordinate security audits/assessments and participate in a security task force/incident response when needed.
• Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure compliance with our security standards and secure integrations.

You combine analytical thinking with communication skills and you have the ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple priorities.

We believe you have:

• Relevant education in OT/IT security or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with IT related security solutions, tools and frameworks.
• Broad experience in security patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Hands-on experience with network security, encryption technologies, and firewalls.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Experience with agile working methods and project participation.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• A passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices.
• Communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English written and spoken, Swedish is an advantage.
• B-Driving license.

Preferred:

• Experience in industrial/OT environments
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001
• Experience working in agile or project-based environments
