Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
Expertise in configuring and administering Service Now SAM Pro to manage software assets, licenses, and compliance. Strong understanding of the integration between Service Now and other tools like SCCM, discovery tools, and enterprise systems for asset tracking and management. Solid understanding of software licensing models (e.g., per user, per device, subscription-based) and experience applying these models within Service Now SAM Pro.
Experience with Service Now reporting and dashboard creation, including building custom reports and queries using Service Now's reporting tools. - Certifications (Preferred):
Service Now Certified Application Specialist – SAM Pro. Service Now Certified Application Development – CAD. ITIL Foundation or higher-level certifications. Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or similar certifications. - Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address software asset management issues. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of software license management tools and processes, specifically within Service Now SAM Pro. Experience managing software audits and liaising with vendors to ensure compliance. Familiarity with cloud-based software licensing and asset management (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus. Prior work integrating other enterprise SaaS (Service Now, Salesforce, Git Hub, etc.) to appreciate patterns around connectors, webhooks, and rate limits.
