Associate Buyer

Your Role

Associate Buyer – support the tactical execution of material requirements planning (MRP) and purchasing activities for the Winslow Site. The role ensures a reliable and cost‑effective supply of materials by working closely with production schedulers, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and supporting site manufacturing requirements.

• Act as the primary contact for site purchasing activities, managing the purchase order life cycle from creation through delivery and invoice payment.
• Execute MRP buying processes and perform core SAP tasks, including purchase order creation and release, monitoring delivery dates, and conducting regular inventory level reviews.
• Develop and implement safety stock strategies to mitigate supply disruptions while optimizing working capital.
• Collaborate daily with production schedulers to align material deliveries with manufacturing priorities.
• Support site functions—including Manufacturing, Capital, and Maintenance—with tactical purchasing needs, and manage invoice discrepancies and vendor invoicing and payment issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain; or 5 years of equivalent experience in a cGMP manufacturing or regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of MRP concepts, purchasing strategies, and supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to react quickly to scheduling changes.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and communication skills for effective cross‑functional collaboration.

• 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Buying, or Site Procurement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems, with SAP preferred.
• Experience supporting tactical procurement activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with inventory management, safety stock strategies, and material availability planning.
• Experience working in a cGMP or regulated industry.
