Housekeeper; Part-Time, Weekends

Pinnacle Health and Rehab at North Berwick, ME is now accepting applications for a part-time weekend Housekeeper position. The right candidate s will have a proven history of punctuality and attendance, attention to detail, and most importantly a willingness to learn and be trained in all aspects of housekeeping in a nursing facility.

• Regular, punctual attendance.
• Closely follow the cleaning schedule outlined for the housekeeping staff, adhering to established procedures.
• Perform emergency housekeeping services as asked when accidents occur.
• Clean floors, carpets, walls, ceilings and movable and stationary furnishings and fixtures by dry/wet mopping, vacuuming, spot‑cleaning, washing, dusting, polishing and disinfecting. This includes all areas of the facility as assigned: resident rooms, resident and public restrooms, hallways, stairways, elevator, offices and all other multiple and specific function areas.
• Replace slipcovers, scarves, doilies and floor mats as necessary when soiled.
• Inspect for damage, straighten and rearrange furniture as necessary and as requested.
• Empty, clean and re‑line wastebaskets.
• Replenish resident and public restroom supplies.
• Replenish supplies in the housekeeping carts used. Clean and maintain all equipment used.
• Report observations concerning structural or equipment wear, defect or malfunction to supervisor.
• Prepare and handle cleaning solutions as indicated by instructions.
• Keep chemical and solutions secured/locked and out of residents’ reach.
• Do not mix chemicals together.
• Attend mandatory facility trainings.
• Dispose of trash in the dumpster & close dumpster door.
• Complete any documentation assigned by supervisor.
• Disinfect urinals, bed pans and commodes daily on assigned work areas.
