About Zero Energy Homes
Zero Energy Homes (ZEH) is a new Maine employee-owned cooperative building affordable, net-zero energy, panelized and modular homes using sustainably sourced regional forest products. We exist at the intersection of housing access, environmental responsibility, and economic equity — and we're growing.
As we expand from panelized to panelized and modular production in our new Wiscasset facility, we're building the team that will take us there.
An increasing number of home builds are in our production queue and we are seeking project managers to take the lead on seeing these projects from contract to completion.
We are open to multiple role configurations to staff the project management function from full time employment to part time contracting.
If you're an experienced construction or manufacturing project manager with a network of contractor relationships who is energized by work that is technically complex, community-rooted, and genuinely consequential, we'd like to talk.
If you are newer to project management or home building there may be a role for you after we fill an anchor project manager position.
We strongly encourage applications from a diversity of candidates.
Women, BIPOC candidates, and people of all gender identities and expressions are welcome, and cooperative-curious candidates are encouraged to apply.
The Project Manager is a primary point of contact for ZEH home buyers from contract through project completion. Working in close coordination with the sales, design, manufacturing, and onsite teams, you will carry home build projects through manufacturing, set, and onsite finishing. This is a relationship-intensive role that requires technical depth. You'll coordinate across ZEH's sales, design, production, and manufacturing teams as well as our embedded construction partner and external contractors, and you'll be doing it for multiple projects simultaneously.
As ZEH adds modular manufacturing to its current panelized production model, the nature of the work will shift and the project portfolio for this role will scale with it.
