Your Role:
Manager - API Operations

As a Manufacturing Operations manager, you will lead production personnel, processes, and materials while ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. Success requires strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills to drive performance and achieve business objectives cross-functionally.

• Implements and sustains Operational Excellence initiatives and best practices throughout daily operations, fostering continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Leads Process/Steering Teams, develops and monitors production schedules, and ensures compliance with schedules, manufacturing directions, SOPs, Outlines of Production (OOPs), and other relevant guidelines.
• Assigns accountability, addresses performance issues, provides regular feedback, ensures appropriate training/expertise, serves as first point of contact for grievances, administers disciplinary actions, and informs Operations Management and HR.
• Manages the department budget; develops mid-to-long-term resource plans; recommends capital investments and equipment needs; monitors attendance, overtime, and approves timecards.
• Cultivates a safe work environment; ensures safety compliance; leads investigations into process deviations/non-conformances and ensures documentation/resolution; oversees timely and correct completion of production records.

• BS degree in Science (preferably Biology or Microbiology) or Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong leadership and ability to collaborate across diverse teams

• Experience with SAP, JMP, Microsoft Visio, and creating personnel work schedules
• Demonstrates strong safety and quality culture
• High initiative and commitment to continuous improvement

• May require some (5%) travel
• Must adhere to biosecurity procedures, including gowning requirements and PPE
• Weekend and off-hours work may be required
