Position
Per Diem Boiler Operator
LocationWiscasset, ME
Work Schedule- Primarily support our overnight shift from 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM
- Some weekend days from 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Occasional holidays
- Current State of Maine High Pressure Boiler Operators License or Maine State SSE (Station Steam Engineer) License
- Flexibility:
Ability to work overnights, holidays, and weekends - Commitment:
Willingness to adapt to hours with both long and short notice
- Boiler Operations:
Start and secure the boiler according to Standard Operating Procedures - Monitoring:
Check boiler status and document gauge readings every 2 hours - System Checks:
Visually inspect Air Compressors, RO Purified Water System, and N2 Gas system, reporting any anomalies - Maintenance:
Keep the Boiler Room clean and orderly
- Pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
- Proven success working in a team-based environment and ability to meet performance measures with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to make well-reasoned decisions both independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and organization skills
- Basic mechanical, mathematical, and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
- Ability to work overtime to ensure production goals are met
- Over 75% of the workdays are spent walking or standing
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Regular handling, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, and grasping
- Close vision and color vision are required
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Experience in production, manufacturing or related environment preferred, but not required.

This position's functional demands require working around or near equipment that may be hazardous to individuals with pacemaker equipment.
