Join our Operations Team to repair jet engine components as a machinist/welder. You will plan and perform hand fusion, machine welding, and other metal joining processes using standard tools and methods.
Responsibilities- Work from drawings, sketches, welding machine schedules, and verbal and written instructions.
- Set equipment parameters such as gas flow to obtain quality welds.
- Prepare and secure parts for welding, align details and operate welding equipment.
- Use X‑Ray film or black‑light process to assess repairs, build up surfaces and fix cracks.
- Measure dimensions with fixed and variable instruments and record results.
- Perform routine servicing following written procedures and operator checklists.
- Escalate difficult problems to supervisor.
- Maintain required metal‑joining certifications.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Skills, systems, and processes critical to aerospace manufacturing. On‑the‑job training with advanced technology and educational advancement opportunities.
Qualifications Must Have- High School or GED.
- 1+ year of related experience or a completed degree/certificate from a post‑secondary or vocational school in a related field.
- Certify and maintain a welding certification in at least two metal groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Flexibility around shifts, training, and overtime.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
