113 Wells St, Wells, VT. Role:
Onsite Certified Operator, 2nd shift (Mon‑Thu 4PM‑2AM) requiring U.S. citizenship. This role focuses on training newcomers with little or no machining/assembly experience to become a Certified Operator at Pratt & Whitney.
- Learn to perform routine assembly operations on large sections of current engine designs and a variety of similar assemblies.
- Learn to work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to complete tasks.
- Learn to verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Obtain operator Certification to be able to accept/reject parts.
- Learn to maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM).
- Learn to work collaboratively with engineers, quality assurance, programmers and other production personnel to resolve assembly problems and assist in part process development.
- Reference written work instructions for guidance with daily job activities. Work instructions are available in English only.
- 4‑8 weeks of on‑the‑job training to become a Certified Operator.
- Learn skills, systems, and processes critical to aerospace manufacturing within a state‑of‑the‑art facility.

- High School diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience (preferred).
- Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
