Welder , Weekend Shift Onsite

Position Overview

Location:

US-ME-NORTH BERWICK-113, 113 Wells St, WELLS, Rte 9

Position:
Operations Team – Repairing Jet Engine Components (Weekend Shift: Friday-Sunday, 6:00 am-6:30 pm, 36 working hours paid for 40)

Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required.

• Plan and perform hand fusion, machine welding, or other metal joining processes to fabricate or repair parts.
• Work from drawings, sketches, welding schedules, and verbal/written instructions.
• Set equipment parameters, gas flow, and other settings to obtain quality welds.
• Prepare parts for welding, align and secure details.
• Operate computer-controlled welding equipment and manual hand weld torches as needed.
• Use X-ray film or black-light process to determine repair extent and surface finishes.
• Measure dimensions with fixed and variable instruments, record results.
• Perform routine servicing per procedures and checklists.
• Refer difficult problems to supervisor or leader.
• Maintain metal-joining certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required: High School diploma or GED; 1+ year related experience or a post-secondary or vocational certificate with 0-1+ years experience.

Preferred:

• Welding certification in at least two metal groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Flexibility for shift work, training, and overtime.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
