Job DescriptionWork on our Operations Team repairing jet engine components as a welding technician. This is a 2nd Shift role (Monday‑Friday, 3:00 pm‑11:30 pm) in a state‑of‑the‑art facility that supports Pratt & Whitney’s aerospace manufacturing.
Responsibilities- Plan and perform hand fusion, machine welding or other metal‑joining processes to fabricate or repair parts.
- Follow drawings, sketches, welding schedules, and instructions from supervisors.
- Set equipment parameters such as gas flow and machine settings to obtain quality welds.
- Prepare parts for welding, align and secure details.
- Operate computer‑controlled welding equipment or manipulate hand welding torches to complete cycles.
- Use X‑ray film or black‑light inspections to assess repair extent and build up surfaces.
- Measure dimensions with fixed and variable instruments and record results.
- Perform routine servicing within the assigned area according to written procedures and checklists.
- Report difficult problems to the supervisor or working leader.
- Maintain metal‑joining certifications as required.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned.

- High School diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of related experience, or a completed degree/certificate in a related field with 0–1+ years of experience.
- Certification in at least two metal groups for welding.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Flexibility for shift changes, training, and overtime.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
