• Weekend Shift Opportunity:
  Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:00am – 6:30pm, work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours.
• Designated for individuals with little or no machining or grinding background; will become a Certified Operator at Pratt & Whitney.
• Attend a 3‑week training program and 4–8 weeks of on‑the‑job training.
• Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes or V‑T‑C’s for routine production operations on weldments and assemblies.
• Work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to set up equipment for grinding, turning, facing, boring, and/or chamfering operations with limited surfaces.
• Verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Obtain operator certification to accept/reject parts.
• Maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM).
• Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, programmers, and other production personnel to resolve machining problems and assist in part process development.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.

• High School or GED.

• 1+ year of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience.
• Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
