Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled craftsperson to join our Architectural Mill team as a Millwork Technician. This role involves working with a variety of woodworking tools and equipment to help produce high-quality custom millwork. The ideal candidate has experience with relevant tools, finishing techniques, and takes pride in their work. We are willing to train candidates who possess a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Role Responsibilities:
- Use a variety of tools and equipment including (but not limited to) planers, jointers, table saws, miter saws, routers, drills, CNC equipment, sanders, and edgebanders to complete custom projects.
- Accurately template and fabricate laminate and Corian countertops.
- Efficiently and skillfully assemble custom cabinetry.
- Apply finishes evenly using sprayers (paint, stain, sealers) and perform touch-ups as needed to ensure a quality finished product.
- Accurately read and interpret shop drawings and plans to ensure quality in production and installation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- 3–5 years of experience in custom millwork or cabinetry, woodworking or CNC operation
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven track record of skilled craftsmanship
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings or blueprints
- Comfortable using a variety of equipment and machinery
- General understanding of cabinet and millwork design
- Willingness and ability to learn new equipment and processes
- Positive attitude, team player, and good communication skills
- Dependable and able to work independently or in a team environment
- Forklift operation
