Production Manager

Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for coaching and mentoring direct reports while efficiently overseeing and maintaining operations and a safe working environment in manufacturing.
Responsibilities- Oversee the efficient operation of Manufacturing lines while maintaining compliance with ISO 13485 standards.
- Provide direction and leadership to ensure production schedules and efficiency goals are achieved in support of plant operations, and objectives.
- Schedule and directly supervise all production and production support operations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Quality Control and Engineering Technical staff to ensure product quality and availability.
- Assist in development and implement safety awareness programs.
- Drive results through direct leadership and cross functional teamwork to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of production.
- Assist with hiring new employees. Identify training needs of subordinates through observations and achievement and provide training.
- Manage staff, assign work, monitor activities, evaluate performance, and manage critical issues.
- Identify and recommend measures to improve operator training and development, production methods, equipment performance and product quality.
- Operate all equipment and be knowledgeable of equipment capabilities.
- Build a cohesive team that works toward department and company goals.
- May perform other or specific duties as directed by the Production Manager.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485
- Fundamental knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing process improvement techniques.
- Planning and execution skills including strong analytical abilities. Experience Leading Continuous Improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing) is preferred.
- Strong computer skills including experience using ERP and proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving skills and the ability and willingness to resolve conflict.
- Strong team building skills, including the ability to coach and effectively teach to develop work teams.
- Positive attitude with the ability to motivate and empower others.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Associate degree or higher in Business, Management, or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Minimum of 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Occasionally lift 50 lbs. and regularly lift to 30 lbs., handle tasks involving frequent bending, twisting, lifting, squatting, walking, and standing.
- Must be able and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- This position requires frequent data entry, which involves repetitive hand movements on a keyboard.
