Job posted on in WELLS, ME. Onsite role. 3rd Shift / Overnight Schedule (5x8).
What You Will Do- Provide leadership to one or more Business Unit Cells.
- Apply CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components.
- Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
- Bridge business objectives across three operating shifts and have availability across all shifts.
- Support all legal obligations such as U.S. Government contracting and Administration of FAA policies and procedures.
- Make minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of the work area.
- Set day‑to‑day operational objectives for the team.
- Execute basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related environment OR
- Associate’s degree and minimum 4 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related environment.
- In lieu of a degree, 6 or more years’ experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related environment.
- Experience in MS Office applications, specifically MS PowerPoint and Excel.
- Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & coaching skills.
- Analytical, problem solving & mathematic skills.
- Proven flexibility/adaptability in high stress, ambiguous environments.
- Proven ability to plan and prioritize.
- Working knowledge of new product / process technologies.
Salary range: 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD.
