Associate - Seed Packing Operations - Weekday Shift

Position Summary

Johnny's is seeking a Full‑Time Operations Associate I for our Day Shift. This position will primarily involve working in the Seed Packing department but will be required to cross‑train and work in the Shipping, Warehouse, and Inventory departments as needed. The ideal candidate is self‑motivated and has excellent organizational skills.

Standard hours for Day Shift: Monday through Friday, 5:50 am – 2:20 pm. Overtime may be required depending on production needs. Starting pay for Day Shift is $17.51 per hour.

• Pack seed into commercial and consumer sizes using various hand or mechanical means available.
• Work in a repetitive process environment, follow processes and detailed instructions.
• Use basic computer skills and familiarity with conversions of ounces/pounds into grams.
• Assemble kits and products and process bulk seed orders for commercial purposes weighing between 50–70 pounds.
• Cross‑train to perform various tasks in the Shipping and Warehouse functions: locate incoming material, find material using inventory systems, rearrange material, shrink‑wrap, and label.
• Assist the receiver with sampling, labeling, or receiving; support cycle counters with locating and weighing.
• Report any problems or shortages to supervisor or Lead.
• Support daily order shipments by gathering, checking, packing, shipping, and stocking; perform other duties as needed.
• Use handheld units for accurate inventory picking and tracking and prepare inventory for the shipping department.
• Maintain a balanced work area, work quickly and accurately while keeping the work environment clean and safe.
