Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance PlannerWoodland Pulp, LLC is seeking a Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Planner to support our team in Baileyville, Maine
. This position is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all electrical maintenance work. It receives and reviews orders for completeness, validity of the priority, clarity and accuracy of information. It provides estimates for maintenance jobs including sequence of steps, number of E/I technicians, task‑hours and materials required. It provides hourly supervision of maintenance E/I technicians as needed to ensure safe and efficient work.
- Ensure the safety of all team members by identifying safety issues and taking corrective measures to proactively plan for the issue.
- Plan daily routine, periodic and annual shutdown work orders for the assigned department.
- Help implement root‑cause failure analysis, manufacturing work systems and precision maintenance techniques.
- Assist in developing solutions to help prevent or eliminate equipment failures.
- Maintain good oral communication and effective written skills to inform people of what is needed to do their jobs and work effectively as a member of the team/organization.
- Use reliability methods efficiently to ensure uptime, production and quality goals are met.
- Conduct field walk‑downs to scope out all components necessary for planning electrical work and order all parts and materials needed to complete work.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other departments such as Operations, Mechanical Maintenance and Engineering.
- Monitor preventive maintenance completion efficiency, work order backlog, and completion of both.
- Maintain and build bill of material and other information stored in the computerized maintenance management system.
- Associate’s Degree in an accredited electrical program or a minimum of five (5) years of Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance/reliability experience in an industrial, manufacturing or military environment.
- Understanding of NFPA‑70E and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to read blueprints, PID and loop sheet drawings.
- Strong technical knowledge base to build effective job plans for mill craftspeople and contractors.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Outlook, Word, Project and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task.
- Will be required to perform rotating on‑call duty.
- Willing and able to work overtime when required.
- Supervisory experience in an industrial, manufacturing or military environment.
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), AC/DC Variable Speed Drives, Loop Controls, Analytical Instrumentation, Control Valves, Motor Circuits, AC/DC Motors, Control Networks, Machine Drives and Power Distribution.
- Ability to present ideas, work with various levels of the organization, and develop key strategies.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively teach, coach and mentor others.
