Bench Mechanic, AWW Shift
This is an AWW Shift Opportunity. This is Friday - Sunday (3
-12 hour shifts) 5:00am-5:30pm. This position is designed to give individuals with little or no machining or grinding background the skills they need to become a Certified Operator at Pratt & Whitney.
Learn to operate various air tools and, hand picks, and polishing wheels to perform routine production operations on a variety of similar weldments and assemblies.
Learn to work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to set up equipment for deburring, brushing, cleaning, and/or washing operations involving a limited number of surfaces that have been machined.
Learn to verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Obtain operator Certification to be able to accept/reject parts.
Learn to maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM)
Perform deburring, blending, polishing, or grit blast operations using a variety of hand and power tools and equipment on surfaces and details of aerospace engine components.
The salary range for this role is $17.10-$30.10. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. High School or GED
1 + years of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience
Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
