Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. You will be responsible for following our safety procedures to ensure the process is safe for yourself and those working around the machine. This is a production oriented position that requires attention to detail and ability to work in a team Follow safety procedures while using proper personal protective equipment, machinery, and tools.

Weighing material on floor scale with a forklift. Listening to the machine run in order to troubleshoot issues. Recognize employee strengths and weaknesses and positioning them accordingly proactively regarding operations. Identify and correct inventory discrepancies. Maintain equipment and scheduling Performing preventative maintenance. Cleaning the inside, outside and areas around the machine. Communicating with the team to ensure positive morale.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in an Industrial/Outdoor work Environment Minimum of 1 year leadership experience in a Team Environment Experience operating a skid steer, forklift, front-end loader, etc. Good verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with team members and others.
