Position: Modular Assembly I , Weekend Shift (Machine Mods)
Location: North Berwick

Weekend Shift Opportunity

Weekend shift opportunity Friday – Sunday (3 x 12 hour shifts) 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM. This position is designed to give individuals with little or no machining or assembly experience the skills they need to become a Certified Operator at Pratt & Whitney.

What You Will Do
  • Participate in 4–8 weeks of on-the-job training.
  • Perform routine assembly operations on large sections of current engine designs and a variety of similar assemblies.
  • Work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to complete tasks.
  • Verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Obtain operator certification to be able to accept/reject parts.
  • Maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM).
  • Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, programmers and other production personnel to resolve assembly problems and assist in part process development.
  • Follow written work instructions in English for daily job activities.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • 1+ year of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience preferred.
  • Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
