Location:
South Paris, Maine
Shift: Friday–Sunday, 5–PM–5–AM
Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 + 30% night shift differential
Precinmac is a leading supplier of mission-critical, high-precision machined components for aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and automation industries. We’re seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in 4-axis horizontal milling and/or lathe/millturn machining – someone who thrives on precision and takes pride in producing exceptional work.
What You’ll Do- CNC Operation – Run CNC lathes, millturns, and 3, 4, and 5-axis mills to produce high-quality parts
- Setup & Adjustments – Load parts, set offsets, prove programs, perform edits, deburr, and inspect
- Blueprint Interpretation – Read drawings, GD&T, manuals, and specifications to determine tolerances and machining sequences
- Inspection & Measurement – Use calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and CMM data to verify accuracy
- Troubleshooting – Identify malfunctions, out-of-tolerance conditions, and adjust machines or tooling as needed
- Collaboration – Work with supervisors, engineers, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues
- Maintenance – Keep equipment clean, organized, and running efficiently
- Compliance – Follow AS9100, safety regulations, and company policies
- High School Diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred
- 2-year degree in Precision Machining or 2+ years CNC machining experience in aerospace, medical, or high-precision environments
- Experience machining medium to high complexity parts
- Knowledge of programming languages, tooling, inserts, fixtures, and machining accessories
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and engineering drawings
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, CMM exposure)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Strong math skills (geometry, algebra, basic trigonometry)
- Ability to run multiple machines independently or as part of a team
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment
