AT Process Technologies (ATP) is a pioneering manufacturing company focused on the development and deployment of modular energetics production plants. Using breakthrough chemistry and automation that operates continuously and generates little to no waste, ATP is expanding energetics production to meet the munitions demands of the US and Allies safely, rapidly, and cost effectively.

AT Process Technologies (ATP) is building a core team to stand up the autonomous skidded production systems that will redefine how energetics are manufactured. As our EOD Technician, you will be the site's explosives safety authority - rendering safe and disposing of ordnance and energetic materials, overseeing safe operations during test and production activities, and managing our explosives magazine/bunker in full compliance with ATF and DoD storage standards.

The ideal candidate brings military or civilian EOD experience, is comfortable being the final word on go/no-go safety calls, and takes ownership of everything that goes in and out of the magazine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform render-safe procedures, disposal, and disposition of unexploded ordnance, energetic materials, and hazardous devices at ATP and customer sites

  • Serve as the designated safety authority during testing, static fires, and production operations involving energetic materials, with authority to halt operations over safety concerns

  • Manage the explosives magazine/bunker: storage, segregation, and handling of energetic materials in accordance with ATF (27 CFR 555), DoD, and site-specific requirements

  • Maintain accurate acquisition, disposition, and inventory records (including Daily Summary of Magazine Transactions) and reconcile physical inventory against records

  • Conduct required magazine inspections (including routine checks for unauthorized entry or removal) and maintain key control and access logs

  • Coordinate and support annual and special inventories, and prepare the site for ATF inspections and audits

  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for the handling, transport, and storage of energetics on site

  • Review test plans and procedures alongside engineers to identify hazards and ensure adequate exclusion zones, PPE, and safety controls are in place

  • Support hardware-in-the-loop testing, commissioning, and factory/site acceptance testing, advising on explosives safety throughout

  • Lead or support emergency response planning and execution for incidents involving energetic materials

  • Train and brief site personnel on explosives safety protocols, magazine procedures, and emergency response

  • Maintain accurate build, test, and safety records, and keep as-built/as-run documentation up to date

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; EOD certification/training (military or civilian) required

  • 3+ years of hands-on EOD experience, including render-safe procedures and disposal of explosive ordnance or energetic materials

  • Working knowledge of ATF explosives storage and record-keeping regulations (27 CFR 555) or equivalent DoD explosives safety standards

  • Experience managing an explosives magazine, bunker, or licensed storage facility, including inventory control and key/access management

  • Strong understanding of explosives safety principles, hazard classification, and quantity-distance requirements

  • Ability to serve as a site safety authority, including the willingness and authority to stop work when conditions are unsafe

  • Strong attention to detail and record‑keeping discipline

  • Ability to work on‑site in laboratory, fabrication, and plant environments, and travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • Military EOD training (e.g., Navy/Army/Air Force EOD, NAVSCOLEOD graduate) or equivalent civilian bomb technician certification

  • Experience as a Responsible Person or Magazine Manager under an ATF explosives license or permit

  • Experience supporting rocket motor, propellant, or other energetics test/production operations

  • Experience writing or enforcing explosives safety SOPs and emergency response plans

  • Familiarity with DoD Explosives Safety Board (DDESB) standards or similar quantity-distance/siting requirements

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or other regulated…
